9 years

Today my husband and I celebrate 9 years of marriage! What a gift from the Lord!

Thank you Jeremy for sharing this life with me. It has been a privilege to get to grow up with you. We had so many people telling us that 20 was too young to marry, but we knew that God had purposed for us to be together.

Thank you for being the spiritual leader and guide for our family. You love us in a way that amazes me and I aspire to love like you do.

Thank you for putting God first and constantly growing your relationship with him.

Thank you for always seeing me as beautiful, no matter what.

Thank you for being such a hard worker.

Thank you for making me laugh! I am still funnier than you though!

Thank you for choosing me.

Thank you for being the most amazing Dad to our boys!

I am so grateful for you and these boys that have come from this union, What God has joined together, let no man separate! I love you so my husband!!!

lack of sleep?

So I was going back and forth on if I should post this picture or not. I decided I would show off the dark circles under my eyes and go for it. Oh and I am not wearing shoes either. I went all out this week!

I am not just trying to make sure I get try a little while getting dressed, I also am working on not shying away from the uncomfortable. So here it is sleepy eyes and awkward angle (my 5 year old's photography) and all.

This is the necklace I won from the giveaway I mentioned.

I am loving my littlest man being here with us and the dark circles are just a small price to pay. It has only been 4 weeks since I had him, but he has already won all of our hearts!

some randoms

This past weekend the weather was sunny here! I know it has been spring in other parts of the country for awhile, but here in the Pacific Northwest a warm sunny day in spring is not always the norm.

My husband worked Saturday morning, but when he got home we decided to brave the crowds and went to the zoo. It was an almost miracle, we found parking in the main parking lot! It was the littlest man's first zoo experience... I don't think he was too impressed.

We also got a table and chairs for our deck so we can enjoy meals outside when the weather is nice. Eventually we will need to get an umbrella, seeing our sandwich bread almost got toasted from the sun beating down. Oh the price you pay for the funness of eating outside, troublesome, I know.

I spend a lot of time with littlest man on my lap. I LOVE that he is small enough to lay on my lap and fit perfectly. These pictures were taken in the span of maybe 2 minutes, he is learning to chew his fingers, not really suck them though.

Today is going to be the last day of sun, before the rain is supposed to start again. I am so glad we were able to enjoy it while it lasted!

today

I am loving my job! I have been called and am blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home with my kids. Today I am having an extra amount of joy just watching my boys do what they do everyday.

My baby is unsettled and the two middles are running around crazy, but the energy and love that fills this house is filling my heart!

That's all, just wanted to share.

my son's pick

Wow, where did this past week go?!

Oh yeah, taking care of this guy... and my other three. I forgot how fast days go by with a newborn! How blessed I am!

This weekend I went to a baby shower. I was super excited to have a reason to wear a dress that my oldest son picked out for me.

Orange is his favorite color. I love the detail at the bottom of the dress.

We also had a picnic lunch outside and last minute decided to do a little gardening. To show how amateur we are, this is what I wore pulling weeds.

Maybe next time I should know to dress a little better for the job.

Having a new little one is so beyond amazing! His brothers are just loving on him! I did forget how, umm let's say, crazy emotional one can be while hormones are adjusting. My poor, awesome husband has been so supportive and kind through my adjustment. I tell you, I am blessed!!

accountability...

sort of. This pregnancy I didn't get to dress exactly how I would have liked. Yes I know, so sad the troubles of my life. *smile*

Well I got into a pretty bad rut and forgot the very little I knew about putting myself together. I have long loved The Pleated Poppy Blog and her What I Wore Wednesday posts (and have even linked up).

It is where many fabulous ladies link up outfit posts to show how they put a little extra effort into their daily routine of getting dressed.

I am by no means a fashionista nor will I have great quality photography (most weeks my pictures are taken by a 5 year old) but I am no longer pregnant and want to try a little harder, and take some risks.

I always feel better about my days when I feel at least a little put together, so here is my first week of holding myself accountable, 2 weeks after baby...

these shoes were my risk this week

an awesome ring I won from a giveaway from this awesome lady

I am still super nervous about putting up pictures of myself, but one of my resolutions this year was to have fun with things, even things that are scary to me. *smile*

Nursery!

*update*
I am linking with Kelly's Korner, I have 2 other kids room that are near complete, but have yet to take pictures. :) Here is my living room and kitchen.

I mentioned in an earlier post all of the house stuff I am working on and the things I still had not gotten to. Well nesting kicked in right in time and my husband and I did the nursery about 1 week before the baby was born.

Plans had to change a little when the sheets we were going to purchase ended up being on back order until June! The sheets were really going to be the only "decoration" used, but I love what we ended up doing even better.

The nursery isn't the most traditional, but it couldn't fit what we wanted any more.

It definitely went through stages of chaos during our working on it.

everything is in the middle of the room so we could paint

We painted all of the wood trim white as well as a fresh coat of white paint on 3 of the walls. Removed the dated closet doors, and painted an accent wall.

We also changed the light fixture and put in new blinds.

the world map is this decal that we love, but was a lot of work to put up

to add a little color we replaced the closet doors with a red curtain.

and I painted the blue part of this toy container the same color of the accent wall

I love the simplicity of the room. I function best in clean spaces, and I couldn't feel more relaxed in this room! It was an added bonus to have it done before the baby was born. I know he won't know the difference, but it makes me happy to be able to show my love by making him a special space.

That is a little of what my week has looked like. My husband has taken time off work, so the real adjustment won't take place until next week. We are just enjoying being a family of 6! My parents get here tomorrow and we will get to celebrate Easter with them.

I have so many things to be thankful for and I plan to continue my list soon! This week it is just shown through my view.
